Hi! Welcome to Raising Wild Saints!

I’m Sarah-Jean, a wife and mother of 6 kids on earth + 2 in Heaven. My children have inspired my mission in life – change the world by changing how Catholic parents homeschool their kids.

I’m a small business owner and work from home full-time while homeschooling my children in the woods of New Hampshire.

a second-generation homeschooler with 17 years of teaching experience. I’m passionate about equipping parents to homeschool with confidence, clarity, and a deep connection to their faith. Here at Raising Wild Saints, we believe homeschooling is more than academics… It’s a vocation dedicated to raising saints, guiding our children towards Heaven, our ultimate home, while fostering lives deeply rooted in Christ.

In 2016, I somehow came across the book “Rome Sweet Home” and was intrigued. I read it before bed for a couple of days and it changed my life.

I finally starting asking my husband questions about all the things I had been told about the Catholic faith. He answered all my questions calmly, concisely, and I am embarrassed now that it took me more than 10 years of being with him before I was even open to talking about it!

We watched hours and hours of videos on Formed, tons of classes from Michael Voris on Church Militant, dozens of episodes of The Journey Home with Marcus Grodi, and too many books to count. The more I learned, the more I wanted to learn! Church history, the Church Fathers, Saints, Scriptures, church teachings, Mary, I wanted to learn ALL OF IT.

I finally came into the Church in Spring 2017, shortly after my 4th child was born and baptized.

I was raised protestant / non-denominational and had a very anti-Catholic upbringing except for the influence of my two wonderful grandmothers. When I met my husband in 2003, I was immediately off-put when he told me he was Catholic but there was something mysterious about him that I couldn’t walk away from. After two dates, I knew I was going to marry him. Within a year, we were engaged and then married in the church in 2005.

For many years, I didn’t attend church at all but let my husband bring our children to Mass with him. He remained strong in his faith despite my reservations which at first I found terribly annoying because I thought I would be able to convert him to Protestantism and “show him the error of his ways.” He never pressured me to go to Mass with him or shame me for not going to church, he just kept leading by example. The long game won in the end as God slowly worked on my heart. Slowly, I became ready to explore my reservations and challenge my own pre-conceived notions about Catholicism.

Since my conversion, I have re-centered our lives around weaving the truth, beauty and goodness of the Catholic faith into our homeschooling, our playtime, and the flow of our daily lives with my husband at the head of the ship, steering our family towards Heaven.

God called me to share this mission with other families so I started Raising Wild Saints in December 2021 to help other families embrace joy-filled homeschooling while keeping a focus on eternal life in Heaven. Our Curriculum

At Raising Wild Saints, we value learning that engages both the heart and the mind. Our curriculum reflects this balance by blending time-tested educational methods with creativity and flexibility. As a homeschooling mother of six, I create resources designed to simplify the homeschooling process while leaving plenty of room for exploration, personalization, and flexibility for parents of neurodivergent children. We encourage sensory play and interest-led learning, engaging all of the child’s senses to spark excitement and foster a love of learning that will reach far beyond the age of 18. With a foundation in literature-based learning and a focus on God’s word, our curriculum emphasizes discovery, wonder, and the beauty of living out our faith in every subject. We know your plate is full, so our resources are designed to be open-and-go with minimal prep required.

As a mother of her our own wild kids, I totally understand the importance of materials that don’t take hours to prep or have pages of complicated instructions. That’s why we focus on keeping everything simple and straightforward. With our resources, you can skip the hassle—just print and go!

Our Philosophy

Our approach to homeschooling is inspired by the unschooling philosophy, enriched with elements of nature study, play-based learning, and a “wild + free” spirit. I believe children thrive when they are encouraged to follow their natural curiosity, engage in meaningful hands-on experiences, and build their days around a rhythm of faith and family. At Raising Wild Saints, education isn’t confined to workbooks or schedules—it’s a joyful process of living real life that families get to experience together.

Our Beliefs

Raising Wild Saints is firmly rooted in the teachings of the Catholic Church. We wholeheartedly embrace Sacred Scripture, Sacred Tradition, and the Magisterium of the Catholic Church. Our mission is helping families raise children who are wildly passionate about following Jesus. Every resource and activity we create aims to nurture not only academic excellence but also virtue, holiness, and a love for God and His Church. Our ultimate goal is to prepare the next generation of saints for Heaven, one child at a time.
